Among the situations of non-possession provided for by the Code of Civil Procedure is that concerning the debtor’s working tools. This provision applies to small entrepreneurs, such as professionals, self-employed persons, artisans and the like, with the aim of guaranteeing them the possibility of continuing their activities. Activities based on the direct labour of the owner are also common in the maritime sector. This contribution will analyse the rules applicable in cases where the object of attachment is a fishing vessel or other assets linked to fishing activity.

Abstract
