Trade unions play a key role in improving labour conditions of remote workers through collective bargaining. They are also called to be protagonists of change using technologies themselves to carry out their activities and prerogatives in the workplace. In this perspective, the effectiveness of the digitalisation of trade unions organisation may be the litmus test of the level of the technologisation of work. This paper aims to analyse the players, the rules and the tools involved in the technological transformation of trade union activity in the Italian private sector by identifying its potential and the most insidious challenges.
