Abstract

A new Smart Management System, aimed at reducing energy poverty [1] and decarbonising the existing building stock, is the objective of the project, the first results of which are presented in this contribution. The tool envisages design solutions capable to improve the energy performance of buildings in the smaller historic centres through the generation of "open and user-centred ecosystems" [2], accelerating the large-scale adoption of innovative technologies and services co-created with the users themselves [3], valorising in an integrated way the existing buildings and providing specific interventions to reactivate the economic and productive flows in the internal areas. The built heritage of Piaggine [Salerno], a municipality in the National Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano and Alburni, is the sample area in which the tool has been implemented and validated, in response to the "Energy Community" and "Energy Poverty" reduction criteria sanctioned by Directive 2018/844/EU.
