Abstract

The principles of Station Renaissance are initially addressed exclusively to the redevelopment of stations no longer in use, but soon also extend to the design of new stations in addition to urban planning. In fact, for new projects the use of simple architectural forms, the harinony of colors and materials used is preferred, but always in perfect harmony with the historical identity of the city and of the areas in which they are realized. Aesthetics become a crucial parameter also for this movement in the design of new transport infrastructure, in order to increase the quality of services offered in addition to the liveability of the surrounding areas. In CSDR the concept of aesthetics is not limited to simple visual quality based on shapes, dimensions and colors but also includes more subjective aspects for the traveler such as the same utility of commuting.
