Innovation is a key driver for any field of research, as it drives progress and growth. However, innovative research is often not found in the core nucleus of a research area, but rather at the intersection of different research. This cross-pollination of ideas, skills, and knowledge often forms the basis for groundbreaking research that cannot be achieved in a single discipline and appears new research approaches as multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary. This paper investigates this phenomenon and reflect about it in the WIRN annual congress. It seeks to highlight the significance of diverse teams in producing impactful research and to encourage further collaboration across disciplines.

Abstract
Innovation is a key driver for any field of research, as it drives progress and growth. However, innovative research is often not found in the core nucleus of a research area, but rather at the intersection of different research. This cross-pollination of ideas, skills, and knowledge often forms the basis for groundbreaking research that cannot be achieved in a single discipline and appears new research approaches as multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary. This paper investigates this phenomenon and reflect about it in the WIRN annual congress. It seeks to highlight the significance of diverse teams in producing impactful research and to encourage further collaboration across disciplines.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
