Women’s specific experiences and redress needs remain under-addressed both nationally and internationally in the recognition and award of reparations. The UNSC Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Agenda promotes women’s protection, participation, and empowerment throughout conflict phases, highlighting their role in peace processes. While Italy’s National Action Plans (NAPs) for implementing the WPS Agenda are successful, they remain limited, especially when it comes to the promotion of women and girls’ right to education. Abstract
This paper proposes a broader implementation of the Agenda byanalyzing a reproducible good practice: the 2024 Afghan Girls Training Project, a gender-aware reparation initiative developed by Monash University in response to the Taliban’s restrictions on education for women and girls in Afghanistan.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
