This work aims to study the restrictive measures imposed to Chinese diplomats in American soil under the eyes of Power Transition Study, and it has as its temporal limits the period between the beginning of the Trump Administration’s Trade Wars in 2018-2020, and the first 100 days of his second term in 2025, with these periods being analyzed under a comparative framework. Ergo, the specific objectives: (a) To present A.F.K. Organski’s Power Transition Theory and to frame the current relationship between the US and China in its parameters; (b) To present the measures in question and to organize them into a descriptive timeline; and (c) To point out how these measures qualify as an attempt by the USA to inhibit Chinese industrialization and to stop its overtaking process.
