In this letter, a novel near-field diagnostic method for phased array based on the multiple signal classification algorithm and a matrix inversion is proposed. In view of the steering diversity, these data are collected in the steering domain with a fixed probe. Numerical examples show that the proposed approach outperforms standard strategies, such as compressive sensing and matrix method.
