Disputes are an inevitable part of any kind of relationship; sport domain is not an exception and arbitration play a key role, especially by means of the establishment of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), a specialized tribunal for resolving disputes as an alternative to State jurisdiction. This article, after describing the functions of the Court, aims to discuss the role of arbitration in dispute resolution in the world of sports through the analysis of some concrete cases.
