In June 2023, Apple unveiled Apple Vision Pro (AVP), a visor that leverages cutting-edge technical specifications to enable users with innovative ways to interact with Extended Reality (XR). The product immediately attracted wide interests and discussions in the scientific fields because of its numerous potential applications. This paper presents a review of the very first scientific literature that emerged on AVP to focus on the fields that drove the rush to adopt this innovative technology and is likely to form the reference for subsequent researches. The paper included the scientific paper after one year of the product's launch, and delivered a total of 52 results evidencing that the adoption of the tool occurred mainly in the medical, educational, psychological, legislative and communication fields. In particular, the application of AVP in the medical field is widely discussed with attention on fields, such as surgery and education. In addition, the highly immersive experience provided by AVP has ensured its modest use in the psychological field, especially with regard to patient therapy. Finally, AVP has sparked debates in the legislative area regarding user data protection. In summary, the modest number of fields that have so far approached this novel tool, as well as the strong predominance of the medical field, is highlighted as a negative element. Future investigations will monitor the evolution of scientific research related to the embrace of AVP to identify the development of further lines of research from the basic literature highlighted by the review conducted.

Abstract
Future investigations will monitor the evolution of scientific research related to the embrace of AVP to identify the development of further lines of research from the basic literature highlighted by the review conducted.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
