Abstract

This article presents new textual correspondences between the PHerc. 1485 and the PHerc. 1005/862. The two papyri preserve respectively the provisional copy and the final draft of a treatise by Philodemus Against those who call themselves readers of the books of the Masters. The cross-reading of the two papyri allows us to clarify and improve the text of the treatise, in which Philodemus polemically addresses other followers of the same Epicurean school.
