Some of the most relevant outputs of contemporary culture, at least since the last twenty years of the 20th century, have been progressively leading to the updating, if not the revision, of some attestations of the 1964 Venice Charter. In particular, the demand for sustainability, in its own polysemy, seems to have contributed substantially to these developments, promoting a co-evolutionary, processual, and multidimensional approach to preservation design and the intrinsically social nature of heritage. More than other topics, the contrast to climate change impacts on architectural resources, particularly in urban areas, in this light, highlights all its own coherence with the cited issue, prompting the question of the possible need, in this regard, to integrate, update or even revise the Venetian document. To suggest possible answers, the study has therefore elaborated the comparison with its articles by thoroughly defining the aims, contents, methods and tools denoting, in a transversal way, the most recent research and implementations in Europe aimed at adapting and mitigating the expected climate change impacts on built heritage.

Abstract
To suggest possible answers, the study has therefore elaborated the comparison with its articles by thoroughly defining the aims, contents, methods and tools denoting, in a transversal way, the most recent research and implementations in Europe aimed at adapting and mitigating the expected climate change impacts on built heritage.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
