The analytical expression of the lifetime of the V=0 state in Josephson junctions assuming a parabolic potential shape is compared with the numerical results obtained assuming a cubic and a Josephson potential shape. The comparison has been done in the thermal regime and for very low damping. An empirical correction to the lifetime expression in the parabolic approximation is given in an analytical form.
