The international practice shows that millions of children and adolescents around the planet play virtual, tridimensional and immersive videogames. The digital revolution affecting the gaming sector generates important implications for the rights of the gamers. Against this evolving background, this paper investigates whether the protection offered within the context of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and in other human rights mechanisms may be extended to whom, by means of an avatar, makes access to Fortnite or other typical products of the social gaming universe.
