The Italian PNRR plan, connected to the Next generation EU and the Agenda 2030, reclaims all the discipline in rethinking their roles and finding new approaches to research activities due to the ecological and the digital transition. One of the main areas of interest is the role of the public administrations in this change. This article will study and analyze the role of design activities in the definition of development strategies in local territories, with a particular attention to the role of new strategic design approaches in the valorization of local heritages in natural parks.
