Introduction: Disability is an enormous sanitary and social criticality and this study examines the possibility, through sports activities, to pursue both an increase in athletic performance, that in the level of health and well-being by a group of dis- abled athletes. Materials and methods: 10 disabled athletes have been subjected to a series of experimental programs of water polo train- ing for 8 months and have carried out two series of evaluations at the beginning and at the end of this period of sporting activity. Results: There have been improvements both as regards the skills from a sporting point of view, both as regards the level of psycho-physical wellbeing for all disabled people. Conclusions: The sports activity, if managed in performant way, is able to lead to a benefit athletic and to an improvement of the quality of life for the people with disability.
