Abstract

The contribution, sharing the logic of the circular approach applied to the built environment, aims to structure an operational methodology that allows to deepen the aspects concerning the multi-factor characterization of a building transformation intervention through the integration of data, by means of which to digitize the contents and support decisions aimed at achieving the control/reduction of induced ecological-environmental impacts. Through the application to a case study, whose design and technological choices were verified through Building Information Modelling (BIM) models, it was possible to conduct a series of reasoning on impacts to understand, in terms of opportunities, how BIM facilitated the process of evaluation and control of the urban transformation intervention by reducing its technological-environmental criticalities. All this was done by adopting the guidelines of "digital sobriety" as a principle of action.
