The objectives set out in Agenda 2030 sustainable development must make us think a lot about the actions to be taken the development and trans mation of our cities, which are becoming increasingly complex agglomerations. In this regard, as part of the study of interventions the sustainable renewal of urban contexts, the present work focuses on the role played by open spaces, which are articulated systems able to configure themselves as nodal elements within the city in ecological, user and environmental terms. To all this is added more recently the need, following the COVID-19 health emergency, to provide urban areas with appropriate flexible open spaces and to rethink the rules access and use of areas for collective sociality.
