Abstract
A brief overview of the position of the Italian legal system with regard to the religious fact allows us to highlight the recognition by the Constitutional Court of secularism as a “supreme principle of the constitutional order”. Then we examine the issue of the display of crucifixes in classrooms, allowed by old regulations still in force, recalling the famous Lautsi case. The study continues with an analysis of the wearing of signs and symbols by believers and by examining some specific issues that have arisen. This contribution concludes by highlighting the lack of effective legislative action leading to shared and focused solutions.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
