La Campania dei veleni: riflessioni sul disastro ambientale nella Terra dei fuochi.

This paper analyses the environmental disaster in the “Land of Fires”, a geographical area where organized crime has transformed the illicit waste management into a business. The concern with this type of illicit activity in this context has led the law-maker to intervene in the issue: as a consequence, nowadays the Italian penal code provides a new section dedicated to eco-crimes. In this perspective, the sociological and legal reflections on this reform meet and intertwine with the wider “environmental question”.
