Abstract

By addressing the main theoretical crux of The Human Condition, in this paper I attempt to display how Hannah Arendt's thought can offer a fruitful contribution to the debate on intergenerational justice. Importantly, I maintain that Arendt's notions of plurality and natality deliver a thorough underpinning for a community-based model of justification for duties towards future generations.
