Ma non si tratta solo di questo: varie traiettorie segnano l‘attività di Cherubino Gambardella e Simona Ottieri riducendo la molteplicità ad un numero limitato ed ipnotico di ossessioni. Il rapporto con un tempo unico ed eterno, come il presente tracciato da Sigfried Giedion, si ammanta di strategie concettuali e operative. L‘amore per il patrimonio edilizio esistente, di qualsiasi qualità esso sia, diviene una sorta di accanimento terapeutico, l‘interesse per una forma di bellezza democratica, tutt‘altro che elitaria e stabilita da protocolli teorici oggi inservibili, la passione per la sovraimpressione e per l‘architettura come arte dello scrivere tra scritture interrotte, la potenza dell‘immaginazione trasformativa, il rapporto costante con il mondo dell‘arte determinano la cifra inconfondibile di questo studio italiano.
