Within the wider research being developed on the territory of Pompeii in a metropolitan scale titled "Urban Ecotourism for the sustainable use of the Cultural Heritage in Campania", this study focuses on the multidimensional knowledge of the classical Amphitheatre, namely on the definition of the geometric multiscale layer useful to all possible scientific analysis and design studies on the monument.
