Abstract

The possible influence of proximity effect on the conductance characteristics of point-contact junctions is discussed and a phenomenological model is proposed. The model founds on the application of the McMillan proximity model to determine the features of the order parameter in the basic electrode and in the application of the BTK model to determine the transition probability between the basic electrode and the needle. Experimental results and computed curves are also compared.
