Abstract

THE “TWO WAYS” OF RICKERT’S METHODOLOGY. Discussing some recent interpretations of Rickert’s methodology of historical sciences, the author finds two conflicting trends in them, determined on the basis of the relationship between value and reality, and in relation to the epistemological structure of the historical object. The impossible conciliation of these two trends creates two different orders of difficulty: the inability to ensure an adequate valuation of the individual and the difficulty to define a plane which integrates the value into reality.
