Bank failureisanimportantphenomenoningeomorphicprocesses.Inthepresenceofriverbanksor steep bedforms,collapsemechanismsinducedbythewater-levelrisedeeplyaffectthebedevolution along withthesediment-transportprocesses.Inthispaperanalgorithmcapableofsimulatingsuch mechanisms inatwo-dimensionaltwo-phasemorphodynamicmodelispresented.AmixedCell- CenteredandNode-CenteredFinite-Volumediscretization,whichmakesuseofanunstructuredtrian- gular meshandallowstheslopeineachcelltobeunivocallydefined, isproposed.Thegeo-failure operatorguaranteesthatwheninthecellthebedslopeexceedsacriticalangle,thecorrespondingbed material andporewaterwillbecomepartofthebedtransportandwillthenfollowthedynamic equationsofthetwo-phase flow.Thealgorithmeffectivenessisshownbythenumericalreproductionof some experimentaltestsfromtheliterature.
