The authors describe the very complex interactions of the microorganisms of the oral cavity and among these latter and the guest organism. There are described the mechanisms of aspecific defense of the oral cavity and give some outlines of the anatomy and of the physiology of the organs and of the glandular structures of the specific immune defence of the oral cavity through blood and saliva.
