It is the purpose of this study to evaluate the effect on lacrimai film of hyaluronic acid at 0.1% using the] Comod system in patients affected with pathologies of the ocular surface. Changes in biomicroscopic examination, Schirmer test, BUT and subjective symptoms before and after instillation of a drop of hyalorunic acid after 30 min-utes, 1 hour, 72 hours, and 7 days, during whkh the lacrimai substitute was instilled 4 times daily, were studied. The results show a mean increase of 3 mm in the Schirmer test, 4 seconds in the BUT, and effective reduction in subjective and re-epithelizing symptoms on corneal and conjunctival tissue.
