It is well known that a large part of the landslides which every year occur in the world are triggered by rainfall. However, the mechanics of slope movements due to pore pressure changes is not completely clarified. Such a topic is the subject of this paper where either the case of first-time slides or that of landslide reactivation are examined. It is shown that simple models can reproduce the processes of slope failure, and may help in predicting the slope behaviour.

Abstract
It is well known that a large part of the landslides which every year occur in the world are triggered by rainfall. However, the mechanics of slope movements due to pore pressure changes is not completely clarified. Such a topic is the subject of this paper where either the case of first-time slides or that of landslide reactivation are examined. It is shown that simple models can reproduce the processes of slope failure, and may help in predicting the slope behaviour.File in questo prodotto:
