This research project analyzes the formation of Charles of Bourbon’s court in Naples through the lens of New Diplomatic History, using the dispatches of foreign ambassadors as primary sources to observ the new court. The research outlines the court not as a static structure, but as an experimental "ceremonial workshop" where etiquette and practices were constantly negotiated.
