Postdigital fashion and jewellery: hybrid practices blending digital and physical matter.

The essay introduces a research highlights a post-digital design that adopts the human body as a starting point for radical exploration. The senses and human corporeity thus become active triggers for an investigation where jewellery and wearables become interfaces that amplify our perceptive capacities, filters that transform our image, and connective and interactive devices. The tangibility of our existences passes through a reinterpretation of sensoriality from both a speculative and experimental perspective, always interdependent with digital systems. Through new technologies, it is possible to take new paths, to construct visions diverging from the dominant deterministic technological thinking. As shown by the design outputs of the Fashion Design Workshops and the Master's theses in Fashion Design presented in this volume, post-digital design, through its inherent critical dimension, introduces new meanings and visions, open, collective, capable of experimenting human talents/human aptitudes/human ingenuity right from design culture.
