Researches in some cult buildings in Capua show that they were rarely founded for funerary purposes, contrary to what we know for Langobardia maior (northern Italy). Here, therefore, we intend to discuss the funerary customs of the Capuan élites and - through them - the relations that the territories of northern Campania entertained with other parts of Italy during Longobard period.
