Electric Vehicles (EVs) have been identified as the current innovation for sustainable mobility that reduces carbon emissions and pollution. To comply with the limited users’ acceptance, supporting services such as route planners, behave as selfish applications. However, they do not contribute to leveraging a seamless integration of the expected increase of new energy loads into the electric grid. In this paper, we propose a support for an optimal route planner that allows for smart charging. It complies with users’ anxiety and exploits the booking information charge flexibility to optimize the usage of renewable sources in a smart energy neighborhood.

Abstract
Electric Vehicles (EVs) have been identified as the current innovation for sustainable mobility that reduces carbon emissions and pollution. To comply with the limited users’ acceptance, supporting services such as route planners, behave as selfish applications. However, they do not contribute to leveraging a seamless integration of the expected increase of new energy loads into the electric grid. In this paper, we propose a support for an optimal route planner that allows for smart charging. It complies with users’ anxiety and exploits the booking information charge flexibility to optimize the usage of renewable sources in a smart energy neighborhood.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
