The aim of the paper is to analyse the Olivetti plants built in the second half of the 20th century in Marcianise, a medium-sized town in the area between Naples and Caserta. The factory of Eduardo Vittoria and Marco Zanuso, identically re-proposed in Scarmagno and Crema, reveals the ability of industrial design to influence production and the context of the ancient Terra di Lavoro up to the present day.
