The object of study is the role of street art in relation to degraded and/or disadvantaged urban places like the northern suburb of Naples, Scampia. The intervention of these artistic forms, almost always spontaneous, presents itself as an opportunity for active and participatory promotion for the urban, social and economic regeneration of the places through the graphic evocation of a concept of ‘beauty’ that promotes development and cultural growth. The drawing on the wall is a means to launch challenges and relaunch the neighborhood, fighting the image of global territory condemned to isolation.
Oggetto di studio è il ruolo della street art in rapporto ai luoghi urbani degradati e/o disagiati come la periferia nord di Napoli, Scampia. L’intervento di queste forme artistiche, quasi sempre spontaneo, si pone come occasione di promozione attiva e partecipata per la rigenerazione urbana, sociale ed economica dei luoghi attraverso l’evocazione grafica di un concetto di ‘bellezza’ che promuova sviluppo e crescita culturale. Il disegno su muro è mezzo per lanciare sfide e rilanciare il quartiere, combattendone l’immagine di territorio globale condannato all’isolamento.
