This paper analyzes some planches attached to the ‘Traité des pratiques géometrales et perspectives enseignées dans l’Academie Royale de la Peinture e Sculpture’ (1665) by Abraham Bosse. Specifically, the research focused on the planches that illustrate and describe the preliminary survey’s methods for the perspective drawing of both urban area and architectures, as well as of the human body, also in relation to digital culture specific methods and techniques of the survey, of which they are an ingenious anticipation.
