Napoli rappresentata dai suoi campanili. Un caso studio: il progetto PREVENT | Naples represented by its bell towers. A case study: the PREVENT project

Through the PREVENT project, this paper proposes to examine the iconic value of bell towers on the Neapolitan territory that have long characterized the descriptive cartography of the city. The typological classification on a territorial scale has constituted a peculiar investigation theme and, conducted on a territorial scale, returned a map of the geometric and morphological characteristics of the bell towers of the city. The field of architectural survey methodologies of bell towers, as an opportunity for knowledge due to the considerable height they reach, constituted a further field of study.

Attraverso il progetto PREVENT, il contributo propone di esaminare il valore iconico dei campanili sul territorio napoletano che hanno a lungo connotato la cartografia descrittiva della città. La classificazione tipologica a scala territoriale ha costituito peculiare tema di indagine e ha restituito una mappa delle caratteristiche geometriche e morfologiche dei campanili della città. Le metodologie di rilievo architettonico dei campanili, quale opportunità di conoscenza complessa per la notevole altezza che questi raggiungono, ha costituito ulteriore ambito di studio.
