Il contributo si propone di esaminare in chiave comparativa le dittature che negli anni '20 si affermarono in Italia ed in Spagna in seguito alla crisi dei " bienni rossi". Dopo una circostanziata disamina delle diverse prospettive di studio nazionali, infatti, lo studio si propone di mettere in evidenza i tratti comuni e le reciproche influenze delle dittature che tra le due guerre mondiali furono protagoniste nel Mediterraneo dei primi tentativi revisionisti e della rifondazione di una nuova identità comune, basata, appunto, sull'appartenenza geografica e culturale al mediterraneo. Il contributo prosegue poi analizzando le realtà del fascismo e del franchismo nel corso degli anni '30 soffermandosi sulla loro adesione ad un nuovo progetto per l'ordine mondiale e ai rapporti con il modello totalitario.

Abstract
