Abstract

In the process of configuring the fashion event the drawing makes use of the theoretical principles of the science of Representation, the so-called sources that also include the manifold geometric theories that have connoted the first fashion-related drawing since ancient times, that is the drawing of the human body. This research focuses on the projective theories adopted by the great Masters of the Renaissance to draw the human figure in perspective by means of the analysis of their drawings, starting from the geometric principles by which these drawings were constructed, and compares the systems on the measures of the human body adopted in the Renaissance period with those of today's in the professional design of fashion.
