Benign and malignant nonmelanocytic skin lesions may present as pigmented macules or nodules that, especially on sun-damaged skin, have to be differentiated from melanoma. Here we provide an overview of the clinical and dermoscopic presentation of the most common benign pigmented nonmelanocytic lesions, including solar lentigo (SL), seborrheic keratosis (SK), actinic keratosis (AK), lichen planus-like keratosis (LPLK), and dermatofibroma (DF). A focus on pigmented nonmelanocytic malignant skin tumors is also presented, with particular attention to basal and squamous cell carcinoma (BCC and SCC).

Abstract
Benign and malignant nonmelanocytic skin lesions may present as pigmented macules or nodules that, especially on sun-damaged skin, have to be differentiated from melanoma. Here we provide an overview of the clinical and dermoscopic presentation of the most common benign pigmented nonmelanocytic lesions, including solar lentigo (SL), seborrheic keratosis (SK), actinic keratosis (AK), lichen planus-like keratosis (LPLK), and dermatofibroma (DF). A focus on pigmented nonmelanocytic malignant skin tumors is also presented, with particular attention to basal and squamous cell carcinoma (BCC and SCC).File in questo prodotto:
