The paper focuses on the project of Ferdinando Sanfelice for the library of San Giovanni a Carbonara, an extraordinary example of reuse/restoration in the 18th century of an ancient tower of the aragonese wall in Neaples. A building for the war was trasformed in an amazing star shaped library that unfortunately today doesn’t exist anymore because of many alterations after the suppression of the monastery in 1799.
