Evento versus rappresentazione. Lo strano caso dell'Italia in guerra

Within the broad interdisciplinary research (philosophy, aesthetics, cinema, literature, linguistics, history) which in reality considers the Great War, a hundred years after its explosion, as our contemporary, this contribution examines the case of Italy at war, the only winning power to behave after the war after defeat. Examining the entire span of the war experience, the essay reconstructs the profound gap between the historical event and its collective representation which has contributed significantly to the formation of the post-war political identity and to the political choices of the country after peace.

All'interno dell' ampia ricerca a carattere interdisciplinare (filosofia, estetica, cinema, letteratura, linguistica, storia) che considera in realtà la Grande Guerra, a cento anni di distanza dalla sua deflagrazione, come nostra contemporanea, il presente contributo esamina il caso dell'Italia in guerra, unica potenza vincitrice a comportarsi nel dopoguerra da sconfitta. Esaminando l'intero arco dell'esperienza bellica, il saggio ricostruisce il profondo divario tra evento storico e sua rappresentazione collettiva che ha contribuito in maniera determinate alla formazione dell'identità politica postbellica e alle scelte politiche del Paese dopo la pace.
