The idea of graphic design we have inherited from the 20th century is clearly being transformed by technique, and the digital environment is no longer the instrument that made this transformation possible, but rather it is the context in which new visions of reality, new needs and new fields of application become apparent, giving an unprecedented concreteness to Italian design thinking. Abstract

We may therefore go so far as making a few hypotheses, to be tested in the near future, on the destinies, and above all on the utopias, of Italian graphic design.
