The goal of this research is to determine the drivers which affect teacher performance in public services. Many studies show that public service motivation is an important predictor of public employees' performance. Starting from these studies we construct a conceptual model that allows us to identify the factors influencing teacher performance. The model was then tested through a sample survey carried out by delivering a questionnaire. By means of the combined application of Item Response Theory and Structural Equation Modelling the effects of public service motivation and other key factors, such as Organizational Citizenship Behaviour, Job Satisfaction, Person-Organization Fit and User Orientation on teacher performance have been studied.

Abstract
The goal of this research is to determine the drivers which affect teacher performance in public services. Many studies show that public service motivation is an important predictor of public employees' performance. Starting from these studies we construct a conceptual model that allows us to identify the factors influencing teacher performance. The model was then tested through a sample survey carried out by delivering a questionnaire. By means of the combined application of Item Response Theory and Structural Equation Modelling the effects of public service motivation and other key factors, such as Organizational Citizenship Behaviour, Job Satisfaction, Person-Organization Fit and User Orientation on teacher performance have been studied.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
