Aim of the work is to analyse the forces due to the interaction between the fibres/matrix and the tool in drilling of glass fibre reinforced polymers (GFRP). Experimental analysis has been developed machining monodirectional and fabric GFRP. Spectrum analysis of the cutting force are done under different cutting conditions and fibre layout. The results shown that the instantaneous forces can be described by means of an analytical model that correlate the force with the cutting parameter and the layout structures. This model can be employed to predict the force to induce the delamination damage.
