In this chapter, the characteristics of EEG activities in the waking adult (alpha rhythm, beta and gamma activity, low voltage records, mu, theta, and lambda waves) as well as their modifications induced by activation procedures are described and illustrated with several examples. EEG patterns in infancy and childhood, in normal aging, and during sleep are also reported. Unusual EEG patterns and their distinction in non-controversial and controversial are described.

Abstract
In this chapter, the characteristics of EEG activities in the waking adult (alpha rhythm, beta and gamma activity, low voltage records, mu, theta, and lambda waves) as well as their modifications induced by activation procedures are described and illustrated with several examples. EEG patterns in infancy and childhood, in normal aging, and during sleep are also reported. Unusual EEG patterns and their distinction in non-controversial and controversial are described.File in questo prodotto:
