The paper deals with data processing in sample case of Eddy Current Testing in a conducting body. The eddy current pattern is computed and used as a data set to detect the presence and shape of possible defects. The paper aims in particular to assess the potential advantages one can achieve when the signal processing include not only the amplitude bur also the phase dealy angle. It is shown how a hybrid neuro-fuz zy processor is well suited for this kind of investigation. Results are given in terms of accuracy of the reconstruction of the geometric parameters of the defect.
