Abstract

The paper purports to highlight some of the theoretical and experimental procedures which have been developed in the framework of the project MADEND (Methods and Applications of Non-Destructive Electromagnetic Diagnostics), executed since 2001 until 2003 by a team of researchers belonging to some Italian universities. Both electromagnetic modeling and Artificial Intelligence techniques have been adopted to solve direct and inverse NDE problems.
