The expansion of the city o n the territory does no t se t the territory against the city anymore: it is included in the territory so much as to give birth to the definition of urbanized or anthropized territory as a reality including together cities and territory. The paper aims at focusing the relationship between soil consumption and rainwater urban management. The case study of Aversa town and its conurbation will allow drawing some generai considerations, useful to i m prove the environmental sustainability of the anthropized territory.
