This paper addresses the problem of estimating the amount of information that can be sent by a source to a fixed aperture in an in-homogeneous scenario. In particular, the connection between information content and the Number of degrees of freedom is discussed. The so-called warping strategy is used as a tool for estimating the information content. Finally, it is shown that the in-homogeneous background increases the information content compared to a homogeneous scenario.

Abstract
This paper addresses the problem of estimating the amount of information that can be sent by a source to a fixed aperture in an in-homogeneous scenario. In particular, the connection between information content and the Number of degrees of freedom is discussed. The so-called warping strategy is used as a tool for estimating the information content. Finally, it is shown that the in-homogeneous background increases the information content compared to a homogeneous scenario.File in questo prodotto:
